We have been traveling towards the state of Minnesota in a round about way. We stopped in Tucson to see our friends. They are cousins of Jeff but I have become so close to them they are like brothers to me. I don't think I know any nicer men in my life than these two. Jim has Parkinson's now but can't remember when I have seen him look this good. He is such a gentle man. When we hugged goodbye we laughed because he is unstable and with my balance problem so am I we almost fell down. Sometimes I think we are two of a kind. Dale he is the comical relief. He is a big marshmallow but likes to appear the opposite. He is funnier than the dickens with a warped sense of humor that I understand, and yet as gentlemanly as you can find. It was a good visit and would like to see them more often.
Then we made it to Albuquerque to visit a darling young woman. One we have known since before she was born, one that we enjoyed seeing almost daily for years, till her father put a stop to me seeing her and her sister. I have tried to keep in touch the best I can with them as they are still my girls. Bonnie is the youngest and we took her and her boyfriend out to eat. We had almost 3 hours of enjoyment with them. I got all caught up on her life and met the boyfriend, Morgan,. They are both great kids, and she is in school to get a doctorate in geology{If I got it straight} and she is so smart. Carries a 4.0 GPA and works in a lab, and is an avid runner. She is just skin, bone, and muscle from that hobby. But as beautiful as ever. Now if I could just see her sister again.
We started back to MN with the idea that we would be back in time for memorial day. I have never been there for it and Leroy would like to go to South Dakota with his sister to visit their family graves. In the Midwest visiting graves on Memorial Day is a big deal. So we headed out just pushing to get home by the weekend (thinking of course that the weekend was memorial day). Leroy talked to his sister yesterday only to find out or be reminded that memorial weekend is next weekend. He lost a week in may early in the month and eventually he caught me up in his fantasy month and I forgot it too. So we are a week ahead of schedule and were going to lollygag along but then today my niece Cassie posts she is having a garage sale of her mothers stuff and we decided we should be there so back to our original schedule. That's the way we travel, changing our minds and planning it as we go along. I have no idea how people plan vacations and trips, I can't even fathom that. How would you know what and when you want to see something.
We know we are back in the Midwest as when we stop b side of road to check maps or figure out some kind of plan, someone always stops to check and see if we need help. The towns are clean, and there are only small delapitated section, and that is usually neat. The yards show no sign of people that don't care. lPride of ownership, management is evident everywhere.

Friday 3/25/16
I do forget to write in the this now that I realize no one reads it. for some reason I don't think thought that peopl cares. How w stop playing d. People in this world care about me one thing and one thing only and that is themselves and the world only as it pertains to them. I guess as I generalize I include myself tho I would hope that it doesn't.
Still in Samta Barbara, and it looks like we are here till the 15tn of April. Then we will be on our way somewhere.
It has been a routine here at the park. We put in 20 hours a week and then it was close to double that for a couple of months but we are back to that lately. It doesn't feel bad to do meaning labor, in fact I feel blessed to have the opportunity. It feels good to feel of use. We have recieved so much praise and adulation from redoing that bathroom. It looks so nice now and is so much easier to clean. I enjoy it every time I go in there. It was work. We patched a lot of the walls. We sanded and a rapped and puttied and primed and painted and repainted. We worked full time on it for 2-3 weeks.
We have mowed and raked and picked up trash and done mainly anything we see that we want to do that needs doing. We have great employers who recognize effort and get you whatever supplies you ask for. It has turned into home and family and I am comfortable here but it is time to hit the road again. It was a wonderful experience.

1/26/16 Tues
Lake Cachuma - California
Well yest Leroy did his fishing and had fun though he didn't catch anything. Like I said, its the process he enjoys.
Today we started on getting the woman's bathroom fixed up. Today we scraped and hosed the bathroom down. Tomorrow is the patching and sealing. Then eventually we can get into the painting. Prep is always the worst part of a paint job. So we are exhausted tonight.
It would seem the way we notice our age is the fact that one big thing per day is all we can handle. We get so tired we can't go on to do more. I am going to try to sew or something tonight.
BUT, the fun thing about today is that we met Betty Whites house manager. She stopped her for a rest stop and to potty her dog. The dog started the conversation and then we talked more and me with my big mouth and twenty questions found out she worked for Betty White. Sounds like a dream job to me. She took our picture to show Betty. How do you like that. Was kind of exciting for me.
Weather this week seems to be in the 70' s with rain coming again this weekend.
I have been in onederland for 4 days straight. Very excited. Really working on eating better.

Lake Cachuma - California
Today is Leroy's birthday. He could do anything he wanted I told him. So he slept late and then decided to go out fishing. He bought a license the first of the year. Don't know if he was fishing from shore or went out in a boat. The marina guy told him he could use the boats when he wanted to.
I have been cleaning up around here and dealing with insurance matters. Oh my goodness, doesn't it feel good when you get one person on the line who seems to know what the hell they are talking about and will take the time to help you and figure things out for you. I got one of those today with Mutual of Omaha and she helped me track down the mistake to the docs office. Made it all clear so I could call them and explain the situation. I consider she is what I am thankful for today.
The sun is out, the sky is blue and the weather is probably in the high 60's this aft. It cools down quick when the sun goes away and its cool in the am but the afternoons have just been so lovely.
So many trails to hike yet, bike rides to take, and places and beaches we wanted to see and we are getting down to about 2 mo left. Time goes fast and yet it doesn't when you are living in the moment..
We have the new TV hooked up but having a problem with the dish reception, so still need to work that out. TV seems really nice. Its hard to believe the TV's are so big and yet so cheap anymore.
I made Leroy a birthday cake this am. Its a Duff Creation cake and it was supposed to be for Easter. Its purple and white but it is all I had on hand so I made it. He can share his sissy cake with the guys here. :)
We may go to the Casino this pm as he likes to go there and eat on his birthdays, we will see. Maybe he will catch fish for supper, probably NOT. Catching isn't his deal, fishing is. He loves the process more than the end product.

Still at Cachuma Lake in California
Yest Leroy signed us up for a nature hike. He did one last month in Carpenteria and raved about it so he took me along yest. It was on the coast out by Lompoc. Its put on by a museum in Solvang. It is led by two naturalists and often a photographer. I was astounded. These guys know everything I swear. I learned about a bunch of different plant species out on the beach and lots of different birds. We walked for about 2 1/2 hours. I could have followed these guys around all day. The weather was nice, 50-60 probably, a little bit of wind. We love these kind of walks as its what we wanted to do when we started out. Learn about our country and its nature so we grab every chance we get to go on these. We got some nice pics that maybe I will post. I actually got them loaded on the computer last night. I wish I could eloquently describe the walk but what I remember is, the sun was shining on me, the wind was insignificant to me, every step I took I learned something new. I learned the difference in snowy plovers vs sanderlings. I learned about beach grass and sand primrose and the bad plants like the ice plant and the pampas grass which are non native and are eroding the beaches and land and choking out indigenous species. There are always talks about climate change and what's happening to our earth and anything like that, it is always interesting to have your eyes opened occasionally. By the time we came home the mist was rolling in and it had cooled down considerably.
I know if this is read by some others you may not feel as close to God as I do ,or even believe ,but as Leroy and I say, how could anyone not believe in God if you just followed me around for a few days. He takes care of me, I think he gives extra time to those of us who aren't too smart or don't seem to be able to take care of themselves. The other day I lost one of my expensive gold hoop earrings. I hadn't caught it right away so we doubted finding it. That night I looked down by my bed and there it was . Well yest, Before we started out I realized my billfold was missing. (I had put it in my back pocket). I was sure it was in the car but could not find it. During the walk I thought about it and thought the only place it could be was back at the bathroom on the beach that I had used before I had left.
Feeling it was there when we got back I waited outside the bathroom. I asked a gentleman coming out if there was a billfold in there, why yes there was. My billfold was there intact. It had fallen out of my pants pocket.
Now if you don't think God had taken care of me there I don't know what you need for proof. My days are always like that. He takes such good care of me, I can't believe it. I am so blessed.

1/22/16 Fri
Even with traveling and learning new things and etc, you still have chores to do. Today I washed clothes and trained dogs. Pretty exciting. ha ha
I remembered when I was at Jeffs we went to some nice places to eat. One day we went to the dog park, which is really huge, out in the south sound where he lives. One nite we went to a game place and its just video and arcade type games and bowling alleys and etc. He paid for it all and I really had fun. Didn't know stuff like that existed. I am living in the dark ages so bad.
We watched on Netflix the adventures of Kimmy Schmidt and if anyone reads this and hasn't watched it they should, it is soooo funny. We got most of the 13 episodes watched but not all. He wrote me and said he watched them all and it was hilarious.
I had coffee with my friend Linda Stafford. She is quite the photographer/ Check out her work on lindasblogspot44.blogspot.com.
I also have a niece that is an artist and her site is Molly Sindelar Designs I think. Just put that in and you will find it I am sure.

Thurs 1/21/16
Well today we went to Santa Maria. Its a close big town with places in it like Walmart,
best buy, and etc. Santa Barbara is to sophisticated (they think) to have any of those ordinary stores.
Anyhow,we had to buy a new TV for the RV . Its just a newer version of the same TV. This one went belly up and in this day and age it cost less to buy a new one that get this one fixed, even if we could. So hopefully it will get put in tomorrow.
El Nino is finally here, thank God, and they are all most up to their monthly average totals, which they haven't seen in many years. I hope it comes up strong and long as this lake needs filling up again. We have rain storms every few days with only a day or two of sun between them.
We have been doing lots of picking up in the basin of the lake. Picking is a fun relaxing job, I like it. We get lots of miles put on also. I got 5 miles in yest. We will hopefully next week be painting one of the bathrooms. A good indoor job in the rain.
Leroy is registered for his kite festival this year and his doc apt. so he will be in Seattle in mid march.
Donna and Fred when they were here gave us a lead on a restaurant close to here than has the best tri tip sandwiches, a little bar/grill place. Want to go there again.
We are trying to eat cleaner and healthier which is a big improvement. Leroy isn't watching as close as I am but I am sick and tired of eating like we have. I am finally developing a taste for salads and vegetables. That's a surprise.
This even bores me so will write no more today.
