Still at Cachuma Lake in California
Yest Leroy signed us up for a nature hike. He did one last month in Carpenteria and raved about it so he took me along yest. It was on the coast out by Lompoc. Its put on by a museum in Solvang. It is led by two naturalists and often a photographer. I was astounded. These guys know everything I swear. I learned about a bunch of different plant species out on the beach and lots of different birds. We walked for about 2 1/2 hours. I could have followed these guys around all day. The weather was nice, 50-60 probably, a little bit of wind. We love these kind of walks as its what we wanted to do when we started out. Learn about our country and its nature so we grab every chance we get to go on these. We got some nice pics that maybe I will post. I actually got them loaded on the computer last night. I wish I could eloquently describe the walk but what I remember is, the sun was shining on me, the wind was insignificant to me, every step I took I learned something new. I learned the difference in snowy plovers vs sanderlings. I learned about beach grass and sand primrose and the bad plants like the ice plant and the pampas grass which are non native and are eroding the beaches and land and choking out indigenous species. There are always talks about climate change and what's happening to our earth and anything like that, it is always interesting to have your eyes opened occasionally. By the time we came home the mist was rolling in and it had cooled down considerably.
I know if this is read by some others you may not feel as close to God as I do ,or even believe ,but as Leroy and I say, how could anyone not believe in God if you just followed me around for a few days. He takes care of me, I think he gives extra time to those of us who aren't too smart or don't seem to be able to take care of themselves. The other day I lost one of my expensive gold hoop earrings. I hadn't caught it right away so we doubted finding it. That night I looked down by my bed and there it was . Well yest, Before we started out I realized my billfold was missing. (I had put it in my back pocket). I was sure it was in the car but could not find it. During the walk I thought about it and thought the only place it could be was back at the bathroom on the beach that I had used before I had left.
Feeling it was there when we got back I waited outside the bathroom. I asked a gentleman coming out if there was a billfold in there, why yes there was. My billfold was there intact. It had fallen out of my pants pocket.
Now if you don't think God had taken care of me there I don't know what you need for proof. My days are always like that. He takes such good care of me, I can't believe it. I am so blessed.
